ACTING WORKSHOPS WITH JEFFREY STOCKER

Non-PFB registered students can attend LEVEL ONE and TWO ACTING WORKSHOPS as well as our open TEEN/ADULT ACTING WORKSHOPS at $100 fee for  5  1hr sessions. $120 for 5  1.5hr sessions Sessions must be paid in full and in advance.

LEVEL ONE

Ages 7-10
Tuesday from 6pm-7pm

This one hour workshop is designed for young beginners to explore the art of acting.
There will be theatre games played but also monologues and scenes to learn.
Workshop is designed to improve reading and concentration skills.

LEVEL TWO

Ages 11-15
Monday from 6pm-7:30pm

This 90 minute workshop is designed for pre-teens and young teenagers to explore and develop the craft of acting. The ability to read aloud is stressed through scene study and monologue work. The focus is to help the members of this workshop develop confidence in their presentation as performers and help to develop concentration and memorization skills which is vital to the performer.

LEVEL THREE

Ages 16- up
Members of the Trainee Dept.
Saturday from 12 noon-1:30pm

This 90 minute workshop is designed for beginners to experienced performers to develop their skills and learn a strong acting technique. Scene and monologue work will be explored while working on a more “honest and naturalistic” form of acting will be taught.

ACTING FOR TEENS/ADULTS

Ages 16-up
Open to public
Wednesday 6:30-8:00pm
Saturday 10:30am-12:00pm
Fee is $120 per set of 5 workshop sessions.

This 90 minute workshop is for serious adult beginners to advance trained actors that want to practice their craft and/or learn a new acting technique that I have develop and taught in NYC to great success. Professional actors that have taken this course either in private or group sessions have included Tony Award winner Karen Ziemba , Academy Award winner Cliff Robertson, and Spirit Award winner Rory Caulkin.

All workshops are taught by Jeffrey Stocker.

He is the Founder and Director of the American Readers Theatre Company located in NY, PA, and OR. He is the current Chair of the Theatre Drama Committee of the National Arts Club in NYC where he has directed Tony Award winners Francis Sternhagen, Joan Copeland and Marian Seldes. His list of actors he has trained for over 30 years include cast members of some of Broadway’s greatest plays and musicals. This past Fall he taught a Master Class in Acting for the Portland Center Stage and has directed readings for the Portland Civic Theatre Guild. His American Readers Theatre Portland company has produced ANIMAL FARM and CHAROLETTE‘S WEB for the Beaverton Arts Commission. He is highly recommended by major casting directors from NYC and LA.
